We’re back in late fall with penultimate product updates of the year. We are inviting you to read about the most important works of Mark Sign in the third quarter of the year!
Improving the User Experience (UX)
To ensure a smoother signing experience, we have updated the logic and wording behind certain signature purposes.
Signature purposes: what’s new?
We have revised the CTA buttons in system emails to make it clearer what action the recipient is expected to take:
Purpose: signature
- ”Sign“ → ”Review and sign“ – users are first taken to document preview before being able to confirm their signature;
Purpose: review
- ”Review“ → ”Review (without eSignature)“ – users gain access to view or download the document. No eSignature is required;
Purpose: internal document confirmation
- ”Review and confirm“ → ”Review and confirm (without eSignature)“ – users can approve or reject the document without applying a qualified eSignature.

Also, we’ve updated how signature purposes are named when adding members to a document. It is now clearly visible whether a signature is required or not:
- ”Internal document confirmation“ → ”Internal confirmation (without eSignature)“
- ”Review“ → ”Review (without eSignature)”

Why this change was necessary
- Some users were hesitant to click “Sign” in system emails, worrying that their document would be signed automatically. In reality, clicking the button simply opens the document for review — the actual signature is only applied after confirming it via a qualified method (e.g. entering PIN2 in the Smart-ID app).
- For teams that use different signature purposes (e.g. for internal reviews or confirmations), it’s now more transparent that these actions do not consume signatures from their allocated quota.
Expanded LT ID Functionality
You can now use the LT ID qualified signature tool on the Mark Sign platform to sign container file formats — ASiCE, ADoc, and BDoc.
LT ID is a qualified tool developed by the State Enterprise Centre of Registers, and is now the sixth supported identity verification and signing method on Mark Sign. Other options include Smart-ID, Mobile-ID, USB token/smart card, SimplySign (for Polish citizens), and ZealiD (enabling signing across 54 countries).
Why use LT ID?
- An additional way to verify your identity: download the app, register once, and use it on the Mark Sign platform free of charge.
- Possibility to sign a large number of documents in one go: with LT ID, you’ll soon be able to sign up to 25 documents with a single PIN2 entry. Stay tuned for updates on this release.
- No additional hardware required: both signature and seal functionalities are handled within one app.
- Recognized across the European Union and compliant with eIDAS security requirements.
